A month ago I went to see Ben Folds with my brother James and fiance David. His opener was Kate Miller Heidke and her husband Keir Nuttal. They are from Brisbane, Australia...She is classically trained...throws in a bit of 'opera'-esque sounds... He just rocks on guitar... and I love them! Every moment of that night was perfection.
Ben ended his portion with Keir playing Wipeout. Here's my video of it:
Yesterday, while perusing the internet, an ad popped up saying Kate had a show here in San Francisco TOMORROW! (Thank you, AdSense?) I bought two tickets immediately. Dave and I went tonight. She did a rendition of Britney Spears' Toxic and had us smiling from ear to ear. Look her up! Love her!

This is one of my favorite songs from her. It's about people being sad that they didn't live in the '60's and just need to get over it!

So awesome that you got to see Ben Folds! And I really like Kate Miller Heidke! She has a beautiful and unique sound! Also, her husband is a fantastic guitarist! I watched the vid you posted and I really liked it. David and I spent a little too much time on YouTube afterward looking up some more of their performances/videos. Thanks for the recommendation!
