Goodbye San Diego!
You may have noticed the picture at the top of your screen changed awhile ago. Yes, that is the San Francisco skyline. Yes, I made a big decision to MOVE to the SF Bay Area! It's been a long distance relationship for far too long, and I'm done with college (for now), so it's a great time for ch-ch-ch-changes. I found a place North of Burlingame, where I work, and the town Dave lives in. It has orange carpets and funky light fixtures, but I'm excited to make myself a new room to call home. Once my stuff is all moved in, anyway. Life's a bit chaotic at the moment. Let's update a bit.
Stacie and Zach were married on August 1, 2009 at the Los Angeles LDS temple. And the girls and I all attended the beautiful reception in Bakersfield at the Nichols' home.
Then came back to the city and went out on the town with Dave and his sister Lena, who just left for DE for a year! And in the span of a week, both the boy and I had food poisoning! Or something like that. Awful. Date nights turned into garbage. I haven't eaten out much since. Or eaten much garlic, as mine was after eating at The Stinking Rose. (I do still love that place somewhere deep down). Oh well, all is well now.
The boy has been in Oregon for awhile, visiting with family and doing some work too. Happy birthday to his mama today... or yesterday now!
I don't think Jeff reads this, so he won't be embarrassed that I'm mentioning him. But he's been in and out of the hospital lately after getting tonsils removed... some complications and emergency surgeries. Hoping he feels better soon. Missing my best boy friend! And sad I can't help him.
Soo.. missing my old Starbucks and co-workers like Judy (hi!); though my new co-workers are really great. And it's pretty weird I found a picture of my actual old store:
missing my old roommate:
and, of course, missing that kid I always hung out with:
Enough reminiscing I suppose-- now onto adventures! Come visit! :)
