I am usually a thrifty person. I don't settle for full price items. I know that I can get it for cheaper if I wait. Even for things like... Cheez-its. I know how cheap they can be. So I'm not going to buy them if they're more than they should. Mostly though, I apply this to clothes shopping. Especially at places like Gap and Target.
At (The) Gap last fall, I saw a red plaid jacket that I really wanted. Of course I wasn't going to spend over $100 dollars. I waited. It went down to under $100. Still waited. Waited long enough for it to be under $50. And they still had my size. (That's the gamble: sizes). Yeah, I own that now.
Just three weeks ago I was looking for a dress to wear to Stacie's bridal shower. I found a cute one that was $30. I know that's not expensive. But I know it can be cheaper! Three weeks and $12 later, it's mine.
take that!
