Blogs

I am at work, and should probably not be writing. But did you ever think about the people who blog for work? Celebrities across the country seem to blog all the time! Just today while reading the newspaper or clicking on links slapped in my face after checking my mail, I heard of several celebrity blogs. I've even read some of them in the past and thought nothing of it. They use it to make announcements, make themselves seem normal, and post their thoughts about fashion, gossip, and politics. But why does it seem so stupid to me? I'm not really sure. Britney Spears recently blogged about Tigers and their similarity to humans. Daniel Vosovic of Project Runway (the almost-winner from my favorite show that airs on Bravo) wrote about cropping pants into sleek summer shorts; Rosie O'Donnell's is mentioned on TV quite a bit for her blog; and Tom Green is pretty much making a living off of his quirky thoughts. And I am one of the people who get suckered into reading these things. Out of the ones I mentioned, I have only ever read Tom Green's and Daniel Vosovic's. But I also have my daily glance at Phantom Planet's blog worked into my not-so-busy schedule.

So now I am blogging about the purpose of blogs in the media. Oh, bloggityblogblog...

And for those who saw Lady in the Water this weekend, I have one word for you: blim-blam!
...it made me laugh...

Now Bakersfield needs to stop being so humid and stormy so I can swim without fear. Even though I didn't really think much of the storm hovering above me as I swam on Saturday...it was too hot to stay out. But I'm sure our cups in the cupboards would appreciate the lightning to cool off for awhile--it shook the whole house last week.

What's the address for the Tom Green blog? I'm not in the mood to go searching for it, as easy as it may be.
