Most Recent Obsession

You want to know what distracts me from getting homework done lately? Among things like Gossip Girl episodes online or working at Starbucks, YouTube makeup tutorials have consumed my time! Yes. There are so many aspiring makeup artists on YouTube who buy tons and tons and tons of MAC, Stila, NARS (etc.) products and show people like me how to use them. What brushes to buy. What colors are more pigmented. Green Eyeshadow how-tos. ...and it goes on and on and on. If you have looked at my YouTube channel lately (which you likely have not), my subscriptions are crazily mostly some of these ladies. My roommate and I stumbled upon ONE video back in December. I think it was just a product review about different types of mascara. And both of us have become obsessed. I've spent too much money lately on things I never imagined I 'needed.' They also let me in on really good deals for people who can't afford the crazy junk they get.
It's just funny when people at work (customers and co-workers) notice. ...It's a complete confidence boost! haha

An assignment

I'm doing a small response paper on a quote I chose from Zora Neale Hurston's "How it Feels to be Colored Me."
The quote is:
"A dried flower or two still a little fragrant”

I feel pretty much like this right now. My brain is DEAD. I know I have some good stuff still in my brain, but I need a big break. I am tired of analyzing. Tired of diving into language. Spring break could not come at a better time.

Adios, America. I'm going on a cruise Saturday.
